Spicy Zespri® Kiwifruit Curry with Skinless Duck

A familiar Thai menu with pleasing scent of Thai style spices combining with tender duck and contrasting to sweet and sour flavour of Zespri Kiwifruit. This dish matches nicely with hot steamed rice.


  • 4 Zespri SunGold Kiwifuit, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 4 eggplant berries
  • 40 grams skinless duck
  • 1.5 measuring spoons of spicy chilli paste (30 grams)
  • 1 measuring cup of cereal cream
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 10 grams palm sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • Sweet basil leaves / little red chilli sliced obliquely

Spicy Zespri® Kiwifruit Curry with Skinless Duck


  1. Boil the water; then add the spicy curry paste and stir the mixtures until they are well mixed.

  2. Add the duck; when it is cooked, add the small eggplants and season the flavour with salt, fish sauce, and palm sugar.

  3. Turn off the heat; add Zespri Green Kiwifruit and sweet basil leaves.

  4. Put into a bowl; garnish the topping with sweet basil leaves and the red chilli sliced obliquely. Serve with steamed rice noodle or hot steamed rice.
